Tips for Starting with Meta Advertising [Tourism Marketing Quick Tips – Video Series]

When clients are new to advertising, they can become overwhelmed by what they don’t know. If you are new to advertising or are looking for a few good tips, this Tourism Marketing Tip is for you.

Three Tips For Starting with Meta Advertising (Facebook and Instagram Ads)

1. Use your customer’s reviews.

These people have already tried your product and are raving about it on social media or Google reviews. Why not use them? Sometimes, one of their quotes with a picture of your product is the best ad you can create for your company.

I’ve seen people new to Meta just put a picture of what they’re offering with some of their customer reviews in either a single image format or a carousel and watched it work wonders for them. Review ads are a great place to start.

2. Post consistently on your organic pages.

What works well on your Facebook or Instagram page tends to work well on paid advertisements. So, by posting organically regularly, you can–without any cost–test what type of posts will succeed most. If a specific type of post works well on your organic pages, that is a good signal that it could turn into high-performing ads.

3. Do not be afraid to use videos you create yourself.

Some clients think they can’t have high-performing ads because they don’t have the budget for a professional photoshoot or video. Indeed, professional photos help sell tours, but that doesn’t mean it has to be professional to have a high impact. Something is better than nothing. It doesn’t take much time or effort to go down to your zipline course, food tour, or experience and take a picture or video yourself.
